Ingredients

  • 5- large firm ripe Peaches
  • 6 tbsp.- Sugar
  • 6 tbsp.- water
  • 1/4 tsp. -vanilla essence
  • 3 cups- vanilla ice-Cream or whipped sweetened Cream chilled
  • How to Make Stewed Peaches:

    1. Cut peaches in halves and deseed.
    2. Place in 10 inch diameter dish cut sides down. Place the pieces next to each other.
    3. Sprinkle sugar over all the pieces.
    4. Mix essence in water. Sprinkle the water on peaches.
    5. Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
    6. Remove and keep aside.
    7. In individual bowls, place 2 halves of peaches.
    8. Place a full scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top.
    9. Place a canned or fresh cherry on top.
    10. Serve immediately.
