Ingredients

  • 1 packet - Thai or Chinese noodles (about 170 g)
  • As required - water
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup - peas
  • 1/2 cup - cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup - red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup - green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup - yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp - soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli sauce
  • To taste - salt
  • 1 tsp - peppercorn, freshly ground
  • 4 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1 cup - tofu, cubed

How to Make Stir Fried Thai Noodles with Crispy Tofu

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, roast tofu pieces for 5-7 minutes, and keep aside.
  • Boil enough water, add noodles to it, and cook.
  • When done, drain the noodles, rinse under running water and sprinkle 1 tbsp oil to avoid sticking.
  • Set aside the noodles.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add onions, saute a little and then add peas and green chillies.
  • Stir fry this for a minute.
  • Add shredded cabbage and bell peppers, and stir for a minute.
  • Next, add soy sauce, chilli sauce and salt.
  • Toss well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add boiled noodles, mix well and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add the fried tofu and crushed peppercorn.
  • Toss the noodles well and saute for a few more minutes.
  • Serve hot.
