  • 1 - Puff pastry sheet
  • 20 - Fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup - Rajma or any other dry beans
  • For Pastry cream:
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 pinch - Salt
  • How to Make Strawberry Cream Tart:

    1. Bring the milk to boil.
    2. Meanwhile beat the egg, sugar, salt and flour together.
    3. While whisking, add half of the hot milk slowly* and start whisking immediately.
    4. Add this egg mixture to the remaining hot milk.
    5. Cook the milk and egg mixture, on a low flame and whisk it continuously, until the mixture starts to boil.
    6. Reduce the heat further and cook until it gets thickened.
    7. Add the butter, vanilla extract and mix well.
    8. Turn off the heat, keep covered and let it cool.
    9. Preheat the oven to 350F, arrange the pastry sheet in a tart mould and place an aluminium foil inside the pastry sheet and spread the rajma equally.
    10. Blind bake the pastry sheet in the oven for 30 minutes, until it browns. Remove the beans.
    11. Spread the already cooked pastry cream evenly, cut the strawberries and arrange evenly over the pastry cream.
    12. Keep in the fridge for at least one hour.
    13. Once cooled, cut the strawberry cream tart and serve.
