Ingredients

  • Bhindi -10-12 (Small)
  • Dry Mango powder - 3 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Ajwain - 2 tsp (Powdered)
  • Jeera powder - 5-6 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder - 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion (thinly sliced) - 1 (Big)
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil as needed
  • How to Make Stuffed Bhindi:

    1. Wash and dry bhindi. Chop off the stem, make 2 vertical slits to stuff the masala. Keep aside.
    2. Mix all the powders including salt.
    3. Stuff the powder mixture into each slit of a bhindi.
    4. In a pan, heat oil and put mustard seeds.
    5. When they pop, add slit onions and fry till they are transparent.
    6. Add the remaining masala powder if any and fry a bit more.
    7. Add the bhindis one by one and fry, taking care that they do not break.
    8. Fry uncovered till cooked.
