How to Make Stuffed Potato (Tiranga)

  • Peel the potatoes, cut the potatoes into halves and carve them into bowls.
  • Keep these potato bowls submerged in water and freeze it for 2 hours.
  • Cut each tomato in four and cook in microwave for 6-7 mins till it becomes soft and grind it in a mixer.
  • Heat oil in pan, add cumin, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add 1/2 garlic and ginger paste, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, hot spicy powder, tomato puree and salt. Bring it to boil.
  • Heat little oil in pan, add mustard seeds. When it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves, remaining garlic-ginger paste, peas, salt and fry it.
  • Dry potato bowls with paper napkin. Grease them with oil. Cook in microwave for 10 mins till it is cooked well.
  • Stuff these potato bowls with peas.
  • Pour hot puree in serving bowl and put these stuffed potatoes in it.
