  • 1 - Puff pastry sheet
  • 3 tbsp - Almond powder
  • 5 tbsp - Powdered sugar
  • Maida for dusting

How to Make Sugar Hearts

  • Dust the puff pastry sheet with maida on both sides.
  • Slightly flatten them with your hands.
  • Do this very slowly.
  • Mix almond powder and powdered sugar together.
  • Spread this mixture onto the pastry sheet, press lightly to ensure it sticks to the pastry sheet.
  • Bring the both ends of the pastry sheet to the middle, repeat the process, so you get 4 layers of the pastry sheet.
  • Bring both ends together and press.
  • Cut vertically into small pieces, they will looks like heart.
  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • Place these heart shapes on a baking sheet and bake them for 15-20 minutes.
  • Keep an eye, once they turn brownish in colour; take it out of the oven.
  • Serve with chocolate powder.
