  • 250 g - semolina
  • 3 tbsp - wheat flour
  • 300 g - sugar
  • 8 - cardamoms
  • 12 - strands of saffron
  • 1 cup - ghee
  • 10 - almonds
  • 4 cups - water

How to Make Suji Ka Seera

  • Sieve the semolina.
  • Heat the ghee and fry the semolina and the wheat flour on very low flame till it is aromatic and has a golden brown colour.
  • Dissolve the sugar, powdered cardamoms and saffron in water. Add this syrup to the semolina and cook it on low flame, stirring continuously, till the semolina dries.
  • Keep on a preheated tawa for 5-7 mins and let it simmer.
  • Cut into desired shape and serve.
