  • 500 ml - milk
  • 2 tbsp - sooji
  • 4 - 5 tbsp - sugar
  • 2 pinches - cardamom powder

How to Make Sujir Payesh

  • In a bowl, boil milk. Do not dilute the milk with water.
  • Add sooji to it. Mix it well.
  • Cover it with a lid and boil on low heat for 10-12 minutes until the sooji is well cooked and thickens slightly.
  • At this stage, add sugar and boil again for another 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Switch off the heat and set it aside to cool for half-an-hour.
  • Then sprinkle some cardamom powder on it. Mix it well.
  • Decorate it with lightly fried cashew nuts and raisins.
