  • 500 ml - Milk
  • 2 tbsp - sooji
  • 4 - 5 tbsp - Sugar
  • 2 pinches - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Sujir Payesh:

    1. In a bowl, boil milk. Do not dilute the milk with water.
    2. Add sooji to it. Mix it well.
    3. Cover it with a lid and boil on low heat for 10-12 minutes until the sooji is well cooked and thickens slightly.
    4. At this stage, add sugar and boil again for another 5 minutes on low heat.
    5. Switch off the heat and set it aside to cool for half-an-hour.
    6. Then sprinkle some cardamom powder on it. Mix it well.
    7. Decorate it with lightly fried cashew nuts and raisins.
