  • 500 g - fish fillets
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  • Red Chilli powder, as per taste
  • salt
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • How to Make Sukhi macchi:

    1. Clean the fish fillets and apply a bit of turmeric and salt. By doing so the fish odour can be eliminated to an extent.
    2. In a wok, heat oil, add onions and fry until golden brown.
    3. Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and red chilly paste and cook until a thick gravy is formed (add water if required)
    4. Lastly, add fish and toss it, .
    5. Try not to use a spoon as the fish is delicate.
    6. Try to toss the wok itself.
    7. Cover with a lid and cook until done.
    8. Serve with steamed rice.
