Ingredients

  • Split Urad Dal - 2 cups
  • Grated Ginger - 2 tsp
  • Green chillies - 3, chopped
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • safoetida - 1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tsp
  • How to Make Sukhi Urad Dal:

    1. Soak urad dal for about 2 hours.
    2. Microwave the dal for about 9 mins by covering the dish with a plate.
    3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds in it.
    4. Next add asafoetida, coriander and turmeric powder. Stir for about 1 minute.
    5. Add ginger and chillies and the microwaved dal.
    6. Stir for 5 mins and your dal is done.
