Ingredients

  • For making sukku coffee powder:
  • 1/2 cup - Dried Ginger powder
  • 1/4 cup - Coriander Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Pepper corns
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera
  • For making sukku coffee:
  • 2 cups - Water
  • 2 tsp - Sukku coffee powder
  • 1 tsp - Crystallised palm sugar(Panankalkandu)
  • 1 tsp - Jaggery (optional)

How to Make Sukku Coffee

  • Dry roast coriander seeds till golden brown.
  • Then dry roast jeera and pepper till you get a nice aroma. Set aside.
  • Cool and grind to a fine powder.
  • Mix this with dried ginger powder.
  • Mix well and sieve it.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • Boil water, add a tsp of homemade sukku coffee powder, give a quick stir.
  • Add jaggery, crystallised palm sugar and mix well.
  • Boil for 3-5 mins.
  • Strain and serve hot.
