  • 500 gms - Suran
  • 25 gms - Roasted and pounded groundnuts
  • 1 tbsp - Roasted and pounded til
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 2 tbsps - Grated coconut
  • Salt, sugar, lime juice and chilli powder to taste

How to Make Suran Khichdi

  • Peel the suran and boil in water to which a little lime juice or vinegar has been added.
  • Drain out the water and mash to a paste.
  • Grind chillies, ginger and coriander leaves to a paste.
  • Mix all the above ingredients together and serve decorated with coriander leaves.
