Ingredients

  • 1 Cup - Sweet Corn
  • 1 - Tomato, chopped
  • 1-2 - Green chillies, cut lengthwise
  • 1 - Onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1.5 tsp - Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Sabji masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennels seeds
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 bunch - Cilantro/coriander, chopped
  • 2.5 cups - Water
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Sweet Corn Masala- Sweet Corn Palya

  • Sputter cumin seeds and fennel seeds in oil. Add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and onions.
  • Saute till the onions turn translucent.
  • Add in tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder and saute.
  • Once tomatoes are almost cooked, add sweet corn at this stage. Mix well.
  • Now add water and cook covered on a medium flame.
  • Once sweet corn is fully cooked, add sabji masala and chopped coriander leaves/cilantro, salt to taste and mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Now add lemon juice, garnish with cilantro and enjoy with flatbreads or even rice.
