  • 2 cups - Sweet Potato chunks, pressure cooked
  • 1/2 cup - Sago
  • 3/4 cup - Sugar
  • Few - Saffron strands
  • 1 cup - unsweetened condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • Few - cashew nuts, fried
  • Handful - Almond flakes
  • How to Make Sweet Potato and Sago Kheer:

    1. Grind the sweet potato, sugar and condensed milk into a smooth paste.
    2. Cook the sago with enough water until half cooked.
    3. To this, add the sweet potato paste.
    4. Cook until the kheer turns thick and the sago is well done.
    5. Stir continuously, else the sago may stick to the bottom of the vessel.
    6. Now add the cardamom powder, saffron strands, fried cashew nuts and almond flakes.
    7. Serve warm or chilled.
