Ingredients

  • 1 - sweet potato
  • 2 tbsp - moong dal
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 1/4 inch - ginger
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Sweet Potato Dal Soup

  • Pressure cook sweet potato in some water till you hear 2 whistles. Set aside the container.
  • Cook dal, salt and the slit green chilli in one cup of water in another container in the same cooker. Allow to cool.
  • Skin potato, dice and grind together with dal and chilli in a blender.
  • Add enough water to form a soup-like consistency.
  • Remove to a serving bowl, add pepper powder and serve hot.
