  • 3 big or 5 small- Sweet Potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp- Rasam powder
  • 1/2 tsp- Sambar powder
  • Turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Red pepper powder or (Hot Chilli powder as per taste) a pinch or two
  • 1/4 tsp- mustard
  • How to Make Sweet Potatoes:

    1. Dice the sweet potatoes thinly for easy frying.
    2. Heat a fry pan. Add 1 tbsp corn oil or bean oil or olive oil.
    3. Add mustards and let it splutter. Add the diced sweet potatoes, a handful at a time to the hot oil.
    4. Keep frying the sweet potatoes in low flame. After adding all the sweet potatoes, bring the flame down.
    5. Sprinkle the rasam powder, sambhar powder, turmeric powder, red pepper powder and salt to taste.
    6. The sweet potato will be done. Remove the pan from the cooking range.
    7. Now toss into the bowl. Garnish with round slices of onion, capsicum, coriander leaves and a mint popping upward at the centre.
