Ingredients

  • 200 g - okra, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 -green chillies
  • 1 - medium sized Tamarind ball
  • 1 - medium sized Jaggery piece
  • 1 tsp - Rice flour
  • 1 tsp -turmeric
  • salt

How to Make Sweet Sambar

  • Soak tamarind in water and extract the juice.
  • Pour oil in a hard bottom medium pan. Put mustard seeds and wait till it splutters.
  • Add the okra, green chillies and fry them, till they become bright.
  • Pour in the tamarind juice, add salt, jaggery and turmeric powder.
  • Mix the rice flour in a little water and pour it into the pan to thicken.
  • Boil it till the raw smell of tamarind goes away.
