Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup besan flour
  • 2 cups finely chopped Methi leaves
  • small bunch Spinach
  • small bunch dill
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 10 to 12 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • How to Make Taalipattu:

    1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them with sufficient water, so that no lumps are left.
    2. The dough prepared should be same as chapatti atta in consistency.
    3. Make big, lemon sized balls.
    4. Place a plastic sheet on a firm table and apply oil over it .
    5. Place the dough ball over it. Roll it as you roll a chapatti, applying oil to the dough whenever necessary. Do not put too much pressure over the dough as it breaks easily.
    6. Heat the pan, sprinkle oil and place the rolled dough over it.
    7. Turn it on either side till it turns golden yellow.
    8. Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
