How to Make Tamilian Beetroot curry

  • Grate beetroot and carrots. Chop the onions finely.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves and urad dal.
  • Saute for a while and add the onions and fry till they become transparent.
  • Add sambar powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Saute for a minute and add grated beetroot and carrots.
  • Sprinkle few tbsps of water and keep stirring this.
  • Add coconut and mix well.
  • Serve hot.
