Baked Salmon with a home-made Tandoori masala. Serve Salmon Tandoori Fish with Onion rings and Lemon wedges as a light dinner. Or use it as a side-dish with Biryani or any rice dish.
Ingredients
- Salmon Fish - 500 gms
- Ginger - 2 inch root
- Garlic - 1 tbsp
- Garam Masala - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
- Paprika Powder - 2 tsp (instead of food colour)
- Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 15ml
- Salt to taste
- Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
- For Garnishing:
- Onion rings and Lemon wedges
How to Make Tandoori Salmon
- Mince and make a paste of Ginger and Garlic.
- Mix in all Powders with Lemon Juice and Ginger/Garlic Paste.
- Rub into each Salmon piece individually, and after the Salmon is well coated with the Masala, sprinkle the Oil in top
- Marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight preferable)
- Preheat Oven to 450F or 230C for 15 mins.
- Spread the Fish in a single layer on a baking tray. Bake in the centre of the oven in the same temperature for 15-20 mins. Turn over give it another 10 mins.
- Your Salmon Tandoori Fish is done and ready to be served
- Serve decorated with Onion rings, Lemon wedges and Biryani Rice.
