Baked Salmon with a home-made Tandoori masala. Serve Salmon Tandoori Fish with Onion rings and Lemon wedges as a light dinner. Or use it as a side-dish with Biryani or any rice dish.

Ingredients

  • Salmon Fish - 500 gms
  • Ginger - 2 inch root
  • Garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
  • Paprika Powder - 2 tsp (instead of food colour)
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon Juice - 15ml
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
  • For Garnishing:
  • Onion rings and Lemon wedges

How to Make Tandoori Salmon

  • Mince and make a paste of Ginger and Garlic.
  • Mix in all Powders with Lemon Juice and Ginger/Garlic Paste.
  • Rub into each Salmon piece individually, and after the Salmon is well coated with the Masala, sprinkle the Oil in top
  • Marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight preferable)
  • Preheat Oven to 450F or 230C for 15 mins.
  • Spread the Fish in a single layer on a baking tray. Bake in the centre of the oven in the same temperature for 15-20 mins. Turn over give it another 10 mins.
  • Your Salmon Tandoori Fish is done and ready to be served
  • Serve decorated with Onion rings, Lemon wedges and Biryani Rice.
