Ingredients

  • 1 kg - boneless skinless Chicken breast
  • Tandoori Marinade:
  • 2 cups - plain non-fat yogurt
  • 1 onion, chopped coarsely
  • 2 Garlic cloves, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp - Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - ground coriander
  • 2 tsp - paprika
  • 1 tsp - ground Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli pepper, powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp - ground Cloves
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • salt to taste

How to Make

  • Puree the onion and garlic.
  • Add the lemon, lime juice, spices, yogurt to the onion, garlic puree and puree again till smooth.
  • Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture overnight in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.
  • Prepare a charcoal or wood fire and let it burn down to embers.
  • Remove the excess marinade and grill for five minutes on each side or until done.
  • Serve with yogurt cilantro sauce to taste.
