Ingredients

  • Raw rice - 1.5 cups
  • Grated coconut - 2 cups
  • Green chillies - 5 to 6
  • Jaggery - 1 piece
  • Tamarind - a gooseberry-sized ball
  • Salt - 2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Aniseed - 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Dhania powder - 1 tsp
  • Cabbage - 250g, finely chopped
  • Onion - 3 medium-sized, finely chopped

How to Make Tangy Cabbage Adai

  • Soak rice for two hours and grind along with all the other ingredients, except onion and cabbage.
  • Mix finely chopped cabbage and onion with the ground rice batter.
  • Heat the tawa and pour a spoonful of batter and make adai.
  • Serve with chutney.
