How to Make Tangy Onion Curry

  • Peel the onions and soak in a bowl of water.
  • Heat oil to a pan, add the curry leaves, ginger, garlic and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add the small onions, chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and fry 4-5 mins.
  • Now add the salt, sugar and tamarind juice. Simmer on low heat until the onions are tender and the gravy thickens.
  • Serve with rice or chapattis.
