Ingredients

  • 2 - dry Coconut halves (medium size), cut into small pieces
  • Salt
  • 7 to 8 - peeled Garlic pods
  • 1 tsp - cumin, dry fried
  • 4 to 5 - red chillies, dry fried
  • How to Make Tasty coconut podi:

    1. Put the red chilli, salt, garlic and cumin in a mixer and powder.
    2. Prepare a coarse powder of the coconut pieces.
    3. Add the chilli-garlic powder the coconut powder and blend for 1-2 mins into a medium-coarse powder.
    4. Remove and preserve in a fridge (as it may get spoiled if kept out side for long time).
    5. Serve with hot plain rice with a spoonful of ghee.
    6. The powder may be added to cluster bean/beans/other dry curries before removing from fire.
