  • 1 - medium sized bottle gourd (doodhi)
  • 1/4 cup - tur dal
  • 1 - large tomato
  • salt
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1 - medium sized ginger
  • 1 tsp - ghee (saturated butter)
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - jeera

How to Make Tasty Doodhi dal

  • Boil tur dal in a pressure cooker with ample amount of water.
  • Cut doodhi and boil separately in a vessel.
  • Puree the tomato along with chillies and ginger and add it to the boiled doodhi.
  • Whip the boiled tur dal and add to the doodhi. Add salt and turmeric powder to it.
  • Season with ghee, mustard seeds and jeera.
