Ingredients

  • 100 g - paneer
  • 1 - green capsicum
  • 1 - red capsicum
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 - green chillies, chopped fine
  • 1 - large tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 pinch - asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Tasty Kadai Paneer

  • Pre-preparation:
  • Cut paneer into desired shape (or in long strips).
  • Chop 1/2 the onion finely and slice remaining half.
  • Repeat with the tomato.
  • Slice green and red capsicums.
  • Method:
  • Heat oil in heavy pan.
  • Add cumin seeds, asafoetida.
  • Stir it.
  • Add finely chopped onion and stir it until it becomes light brown in colour.
  • Add finely chopped tomato.
  • Mix turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, red chilli powder.
  • Fry it for 3-4 mins.
  • Add half green and red capsicum.
  • Cover it and half cook it.
  • Now add long thin strands of onion, tomato, red and green capsicum and paneer cubes.
  • Cover it and cook it for 6-7 mins at medium heat.
  • Sprinkle garam masala.
  • Garnish it with chopped green coriander leaves before serving.
