Ingredients

  • For the Filling:
  • 1 cup - Cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - carrot, small (shredded)
  • 1 - Capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tsp - ajinomoto
  • 1 tsp - refined oil
  • a pinch - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - coriander (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - Green chilli (chopped)
  • For the Dough:
  • 1 cup - Maida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • A pinch of baking powder
  • water for kneading
  • For sweet and spicy sauce:
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp - Garlic (shredded)
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - coriander (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 4 tbsp - Tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp - chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp - Red Chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - degi mirch
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli flakes
  • pinch - ajinomoto
  • 2 tbsp - refined oil
  • 1 cup - water
  • 1 tbsp - heaped Corn flour mixed in water
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • How to Make Tasty Momos:

    1. For Filling:
    2. Add oil in a pan.
    3. Fry onions and green chillies.
    4. Then add carrot and all the seasonings.
    5. Mix them well.
    6. Add cabbage and capsicum.
    7. The filling is ready.
    8. For the Dough:
    9. In a plate, add sieved flour, oil, salt and baking powder.
    10. Now add a little water to make hard dough.
    11. Keep it aside for 5-6 hours.
    12. Make small, marble-sized balls and roll out very thin and small chapattis.
    13. Fill them with the filling and give the shape of a dim sum.
    14. Then steam them.
    15. For the Sauce:
    16. Heat oil.
    17. Add garlic, ginger and degi mirch.
    18. Then add onions and fry them a little.
    19. Add water, sauces and all the seasonings.
    20. Mix and stir well.
    21. Bring it to a boil.
    22. Add corn flour, mixed with water.
    23. Give it a good boil.
    24. Allow to simmer till it becomes thick.
    25. Serve it hot or cold with the steamed dimsums.
