Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Bengal Gram
  • 1 cup - finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp - finely chopped Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - aniseed
  • 4 - Cloves
  • 2 - Cardamom
  • 1 - Cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • How to Make Tasty Vadai:

    1. Soak the Bengal gram for 2 hours and grind it coarsely in a mixer.
    2. Grind the masala ingredients [aniseed, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon] and add it to the mixture.
    3. Add the remaining ingredients except the oil to the mixture to create the dough.
    4. Flatten small discs of the dough in your palm.
    5. Deep fry in oil. Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
