How to Make Tava Pulav

  • Boil water and add a little ghee with salt. Add basmati rice and cook it till 85-90 % done. Drain water and keep aside.
  • Heat butter cubes in a pan and add cumin seeds along with hing. Once they splutter, add ginger-garlic paste and chopped onion.
  • Saute for 3-4 minutes and then add chopped tomato and capsicum.
  • Add all the boiled vegetables after 2 minutes.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and pav bhaji masala and mix well.
  • Once vegetables are well-coated with spices, add cooked rice.
  • Cook on high flame for 2 minutes and mix well.
  • Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle chopped coriander before serving.
