  • Tur dal - 1 cup
  • Beetroot - 3
  • Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli - 5-6
  • Curry leaves and Coriander leaves -finely chopped
  • Vegetable oil- for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Tea- Time Beetroot Patties:

    1. Soak the dal in water for an hour.
    2. Drain the water and grind the dal into a paste along with the red chillies and jeera.
    3. Peel the beetroots and grate finely.
    4. Add the grated beetroots, salt, chopped onions, curry leaves and coriander leaves to the dal paste and mix well.
    5. Roll the dough into tikkis and deep-fry.
    6. Serve hot with tomato sauce and coriander chutney.
