Ingredients

  • 1 cup - All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar
  • a pinch - Salt
  • 1/2 cup - Unsalted softened butter

How to Make Tea Kadai Butter Biscuits

  • Sieve the flour with salt and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Powder the sugar, whisk together the softened butter and powdered sugar to make a creamy paste.
  • Now add the flour to the butter; knead into a soft stiff dough.
  • Roll the dough into a medium sized log and wrap it in a plastic cling film. Refrigerate it for an hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Remove the dough from the fridge, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  • Arrange over a baking sheet lined over a baking tray. Leave enough space in between.
  • With a toothpick, poke the centre of the cookie dough.
  • Bake them for 10-12 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool completely and store them in an air tight box.
  • Serve with coffee or tea.
