Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Almonds
  • 1/2 kg - white bread
  • 50 gms - Butter
  • 1 tsp - Caraway seeds
  • 3 - whole eggs
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - Plums
  • a little salt
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • How to Make Teatime Bread Pudding:

    1. Break the bread into pieces and soak in milk for 15 minutes.
    2. Wash the plums. Peel the almonds and cut into slices.
    3. Clean the caraway seeds.
    4. Mix the sugar and soaked bread and mash well.
    5. Add the mashed mixture to slightly beaten eggs, plums, almonds, caraway seeds, vanilla, salt and butter and mix well.
    6. Butter a bowl and pour the mixture in it.
    7. Steam for 1.5 hours.
    8. Serve with pudding sauce.
