Ingredients

  • Any fish - 1/2 kg
  • 2 tsp - cumin
  • 150 g - Mustard oil
  • 1 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 1 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp - chilli paste
  • Salt for marination and to taste
  • 3/4 tsp - Turmeric powder for marination and colour
  • 3 each - cardamom, cinnamon, Clove
  • How to Make Tel Koi Mach:

    1. Clean the fish and marinate with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt.
    2. Take 3 tbsp of mustard oil in non stick kadai and shallow-fry the fish.
    3. Heat the kadai again with 3 tbsps mustard oil and splutter the cumin seeds.
    4. Add cinnamon, clove and cardamom.
    5. Put the ginger, chilli paste, 1/4 tsp turmeric and 1 tsp salt.
    6. Fry it and pour the coconut milk.
    7. When it starts boiling, put the fish in it and reduce the flame.
    8. After it boils, put the garam masala paste and simmer for 5 mins.
    9. Serve.
