Ingredients

  • 1 kg - fish
  • 1/2 bunch - coriander leaves
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - turmeric powder
  • 100 g - mustard oil
  • To grind:
  • 4 tbsp - mustard seeds
  • 4 cloves -garlic
  • 5 - green chillies

How to Make Telapia Macher Jhaal

  • Wash the fish thoroughly and pat it dry. Marinate with 1 tsp salt and turmeric powder.
  • Heat the kadai with 2-3 tbsp mustard oil and fry the fish.
  • Saute the fishes and keep it aside.
  • In the remaining oil, fry the chopped onions till the onion turns pink.
  • Put the ground masala into it and reduce the flame.
  • Add 1 cup of water into it.
  • When it starts boiling, put the sauteed fishes into it and boil for sometime.
  • After the gravy thickens, simmer it for sometime, covered.
  • Garnish it with fresh chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve.
