Ingredients

  • For green paste:
  • Grind the below ingredients with a little water.
  • 6-8 - Green chillies
  • 3 - spring onions, chopped along with the green part
  • 4 - lemongrass leaves (optional)
  • 2.5" piece - Ginger
  • 3 tbsp - coriander leaves.
  • For main dish:
  • 1 - chicken, 700-800 g, cut
  • 1.5 cups - Coconut Milk
  • 1.5 tsp- salt
  • A tiny piece of Jaggery
  • 1 tbsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 tbsp - Jeera powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Thai Chicken (Chicken in Green Thai Curry)

  • Prepare the green paste by grinding all the ingredients for it. Use little water if required for grinding.
  • In a dish add oil, green paste, coriander and jeera powder. Mix well.
  • Microwave on high uncovered for 3 minutes.
  • Add chicken. Mix well.
  • Microwave on high, covered for 4 minutes.
  • Add salt, jaggery and coconut milk. Mix well so that jaggery dissolves. Let it stand for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with chopped red chillies, coriander and basil leaves.
