Ingredients

  • 12 - Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Water
  • 4-5 - Dates(Deseeded)
  • 1 tbsp - Raisins
  • 1-2 tbsp - Cashewnuts
  • 2 tsp - Ghee.
  • How to Make Thakkali Inippu pachadi:

    1. Wash and chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
    2. Now mix the sugar, water and the tomatoes in a heavy bottomed vessel and stir well.
    3. Keep on a low flame and stir continuously.
    4. Cook for 35- 45 minutes until pachadi consistency is reached.
    5. Fry the dates, cashew nuts, raisins separately in ghee and add to the pachadi.
    6. Mix well.
    7. Serve warm or chilled.
