  • 3 cups - parboiled Rice
  • 2 cups - grated Coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Thanni Kozhukattai:

    1. Soak the rice in water for 2 hours.
    2. Drain the water and grind it in grinder with little water.
    3. When the rice is almost ground, add the grated coconut and salt and then allow the flour to grind it for a while.
    4. Now take the flour and make small balls of flour and keep it aside.
    5. In a heavy bottomed pan add the water and when the water starts to boil add the flour balls and let it cook for some time.
    6. After some time carefully stir the balls and let it cook for some more time in water.
    7. After 15 mins take one ball and cut it with spoon to check if the kozhukattai is cooked well inside and then switch off the flame and remove the kozhukattaai.
    8. Serve with delicious kozhukattai with coconut chutney.
