How to Make

  • Soak the rice in water for 1 hour. Drain water and dry rice on a cloth for 45 mins.
  • Grind in blender to a fine powder.
  • Sieve the flour.
  • Fry the urad dal till it is light brown in colour.
  • Grind to a fine powder.
  • Grind red chillies and curry leaves in blender without water.
  • To the rice flour, add butter, salt, asafoetida, urad dal powder, peanuts, fried gram, red chillies, curry leaves and water to make soft dough.
  • pply some oil in the palm of your hand.
  • Take a small lemon sized ball of dough and pat it into a small circle.
  • Transfer it into the oil.
  • Remove after the oil has stopped bubbling.
  • It should be golden in colour.
