Ingredients

  • 1 cup - raw Rice
  • 1/4 cup - Toor Dal
  • 2 tbsp - vendhayam
  • 2 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 2 tbsp - Channa dal
  • 1.5 tbsp - salt
  • 1/4 cup - Butter milk
  • 1 tbsp - mustard
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Thavalai dosai:

    1. Powder the rice, dals and vendhayam (without frying) coarsely.
    2. To the powdered mix, add butter milk, salt, water and keep it aside for 15 mins.
    3. Using oil, fry the green chillies and mustard. Add it to the mixture.
    4. Depending on the concentration of the mixture, either you can prepare dosa using tawa or you can prepare adai.
