Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Chicken
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - curds
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - Garlic powder (optional)
  • 4 - tomatoes, puree
  • 1 tsp - teriyaki sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp - soya sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp - barbecue sauce (optional)
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp - Chicken masala or curry powder (any)
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Thick Chicken Gravy:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Add chopped onions and a little salt and fry till golden brown.
    3. Now add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
    4. Now add all the powders. Continue to saute.
    5. After a few minutes, add tomatoes, two spoons of curd and continue to saute.
    6. When the gravy becomes thick, add the chicken (cleaned).
    7. Close lid and cook for 15 mins or till the chicken is completely cooked.
    8. Taste and check salt.
    9. Now mix well and add a little of the sauces mentioned. This is optional.
    10. Let the gravy thicken.
    11. Add coconut milk and continue to stir till gravy thickens.
    12. Serve with bread, roti or rice.
