Ingredients

  • 2 cups - basmati Rice
  • 1 cup - shell fish
  • 1 - onion, chopped finely
  • 1 - tomato, chopped finely
  • 3 - green chillies, grounded
  • 4 - Kashmiri Red Chillies
  • 3 - Bay Leaves
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 1 inch - Cinnamon
  • 4 -cardamoms
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Tisrya Pulao:

    1. Wash and soak rice for half an hour.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and saute cloves, cardamoms, bay leaves, cinnamon and Kashmiri chillies.
    3. Add green chilli paste and stir for a minute.
    4. Fry onions till golden brown.
    5. Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 2 minutes.
    6. Add shell fish and fry for 5 minutes.
    7. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute for 10 minutes.
    8. Add rice and 2.5 cups of water and cover the pan.
    9. Cook till rice is done.
    10. Serve hot.
