  • 1/2 kg - Fresh gherkins (tindas), cut into medium pieces
  • 2 tbsp - Cooking oil
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 - Large onion sliced
  • 2 tsp - Chilly powder
  • 2 - Green chillies, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp - Chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 2- Large tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Tomato And Gherkins Side Dish

  • Heat oil in a pan saute the cumin seeds, onion, green chillies and garlic until the onions turn pink.
  • Add the cut gherkins, chilly powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
  • Fry for 4-5 minutes.
  • Now add the tomato and cook until the gherkins are tender.
  • Serve hot as a side dish with rice or chapattis.
