Ingredients

  • 2 - Tomatoes big
  • 2 - Onions big
  • 1 cup - Coconut grated
  • 2-3 -green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1\2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Coconut oil
  • Curry leaves
  • How to Make Tomato Aviyal:

    1. Cut tomatoes, onions and green chillies into long pieces. Cook it in a pan with sufficient water for 5 mins.
    2. Add turmeric and salt.
    3. Grind coconut and jeera powder to a fine paste.
    4. Add this to the tomatoes.
    5. Boil for another 3 mins.
    6. Finally, add one spoon of coconut oil and some curry leaves. Tomato aviyal is ready. You can serve this with rice, upma, or chapatti.
