  • 2 - tomatoes big
  • 2 - onions big
  • 1 cup - coconut grated
  • 2-3 -green chillies
  • 1 tsp - jeera powder
  • 1\2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coconut oil
  • curry leaves

How to Make Tomato Aviyal

  • Cut tomatoes, onions and green chillies into long pieces. Cook it in a pan with sufficient water for 5 mins.
  • Add turmeric and salt.
  • Grind coconut and jeera powder to a fine paste.
  • Add this to the tomatoes.
  • Boil for another 3 mins.
  • Finally, add one spoon of coconut oil and some curry leaves. Tomato aviyal is ready. You can serve this with rice, upma, or chapatti.
