Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - holy basil (tulsi)
  • 2 - medium sized ripe, tomatoes
  • 1 - carrot
  • 2 inch - cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 375 ml - water
  • Almond creamer:
  • 10 - soaked almonds
  • 1 tsp - basil
  • A few tbsp - water

How to Make Tomato basil soup (healthy soup)

  • Pressure cook the tomatoes, carrot and cinnamon with water and salt for 2 whistles.
  • Cool the vegetables, blend them and strain to remove the skin and seeds of tomatoes
  • Add basil and pepper to the puree and bring this to a boil and switch off the flame. Set aside
  • Blend the almonds and basil with little water to get a thick cream.
  • Pour the almond cream into the bowl of soup
