  • Tomato puree - 200 g
  • Cream - 3 tbsp
  • Garlic Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Dried Fenugreek leaves - 1/2 tsp
  • Paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Honey - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Garam Masala powder - a pinch
  • Chicken - 700 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 10 ml
  • How to Make Tomato Butter Chicken:

    1. Clean and wash the chicken and keep aside
    2. Heat oil and add garam masala and chicken
    3. Stir thoroughly. After a few mins add salt, coriander powder, chilli powder and mix well
    4. Once the chicken starts drying, add two glasses of water and mix well
    5. Cook until all the water get evaporated and the chicken becomes tender
    6. Keep this chicken aside in a bowl
    7. For Gravy:
    8. Heat oil and add cumin. When it starts to sputter add tomato puree and start stirring
    9. Add a little bit of salt and chilli powder
    10. Add paprika and stir it nicely
    11. After a few minutes add garlic butter and stir
    12. Once the garlic butter completely melts, add cream and stir it for few mins
    13. Add honey, dried fenugreek leaves and stir continuously
    14. After 3 or 4 mins, add the chicken to this gravy and mix it well
    15. Simmer for a few mins and add fresh coriander leaves to it
    16. Serve with basmati rice
