Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Tomato (ripe)
  • 1/2 kg - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Vinegar
  • salt
  • To grind (with a little vinegar):
  • 15 g - Garlic
  • 15 g - Ginger
  • 10 g - dry Red Chillies
  • How to Make Tomato Chutney with sugar:

    1. Scald and skin tomatoes. Cut into pieces. Make into a puree.
    2. Add the ground masala, sugar, vinegar and salt. Simmer gently over a low heat until the consistency of a chutney is reached.
    3. Cool and store in a glass jar.
