1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
2 tsp - sugar
1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
1 tsp - black gram
1 - red chilli made into pieces
3-4 - curry leaves
2 tbsp - of oil
2 - big tomatoes cut into pieces
2 - medium sized onions cut into pieces
3 - sprigs coriander finely cut
2 - tbsp curd
1 - karhai, water and salt to taste.
How to Make Tomato gojji
Place the kadai on fire and fry the black gram, mustard, red chilli in oil.
When mustard starts sputtering, add the onions, curry leaves and fry till the onion becomes transparent.
Add the tomatoes and fry briefly.
Now add the rest of the ingredients and fry with the lid closed.
Add a little water just enough to partially cover the vegetables.
Remove from fire after 8 mins when tomatoes and onions have mixed well.
Now add the curd.
Add a little more curd and water if it is necessary.
You can also add the cut coriander leaves later.
