How to Make Tomato Hot Pockets

  • Chop the onions and green chillies finely and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add onions and chillies and saute well.
  • When the onions become transparent, add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
  • Mix it well and let it cook for a few minutes until the mixture boils well and turns into a thick consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves in the end.
  • Cut the pastry sheets into small rectangles. Slightly stretch each piece, put two spoons of the tomato mixture into each of them and fold with the mixture inside.
  • Make small pockets like this, place them in a pre-heated oven (for 5 minutes at about 200 degrees C) and bake for another 20 minutes at the same temperature.
