  • 2 - Onions
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp -Mustard seeds
  • 3 Tomatoes - Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • A pinch - Asafoetida
  • Some Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • 2 - Pastry sheets
  • How to Make Tomato Hot Pockets:

    1. Chop the onions and green chillies finely and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add onions and chillies and saute well.
    3. When the onions become transparent, add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt.
    4. Mix it well and let it cook for a few minutes until the mixture boils well and turns into a thick consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves in the end.
    5. Cut the pastry sheets into small rectangles. Slightly stretch each piece, put two spoons of the tomato mixture into each of them and fold with the mixture inside.
    6. Make small pockets like this, place them in a pre-heated oven (for 5 minutes at about 200 degrees C) and bake for another 20 minutes at the same temperature.
