Ingredients

  • 3 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 6 - dried whole red chillies
  • 1 tsp - curry powder or rasam powder
  • 4 - tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander

How to Make Tomato Koot

  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds.
  • When mustard seeds splutter, reduce heat and add dry chillies. Fry till chillies turn brown.
  • Now add curry or rasam powder and stir.
  • Add chopped tomatoes. Cook till they turn soft.
  • Cook for 10 mins more and take off heat.
  • Add lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Serve hot with rotis or rice.
