Ingredients

  • Tomato - 2 (big)
  • Onion - 1 (small)
  • Curd - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli - 2 (chopped)
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Oil for seasoning
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
  • Peanut (powdered) - 1 tsp (optional)

How to Make Tomato-Onion Salad

  • Finely chop the tomatoes, onions and mix in a bowl.
  • Heat some oil in a pan.
  • Add the mustard seeds.
  • When the seeds begin to crackle, add the chopped chillies.
  • Pour this mixture over the chopped tomatoes and onion and mix well.
  • Add curd, sugar, salt and the powdered peanuts.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
